Annotation
Function | Calreticulin is a multifunctional protein participating in wound healing, immune response, fibrosis and other physiological processes. In insect species, it is involved in the olfactory system and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. A. arizonensis may use calreticulin to inhibit hemocyte encapsulation at the venom injection site at the larval feeding site or of the parasitoid eggs and larvae. | ||
